Every single person in our community deserves to have a voice and be heard, especially in decisions that impact them. This is something I’m extremely passionate about.
After her appointment last year, South Australia’s Commissioner for Children and Young People toured the state to hear their views about her role and what they feel would make their lives better. The Commissioner now has a huge amount of data to draw upon.
Her initial thoughts have been collated in the Listening Tour Reflections document, which I was honoured to work on with her and her team.
My role included looking at the structure of the document so it flowed logically, ensuring consistent tone, reworking text for readability with a younger and informal audience in mind… as well as grammar and style before it went to the designer for layout.
I’m really excited to see where the Commissioner goes with all this information.
